Geirangerfjord – a gorgeous, 15km-long, narrow waterway sided by soaring rugged cliffs and featuring several impressive waterfalls – is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Norway’s finest fjords. Coastal Odyssey, the only kayak operator on Geirangerfjord, offers a variety of guided kayak trips, from two-hour pleasure paddles, to multi-day camping adventures – the best way to take in the stupendous scenery.
Geiranger, the small town at the head of the fjord, is about a 2-hour drive from Ålesund (7 hours’ drive from Bergen). Coastal Odyssey’s Sea Kayak Centre is based at Geiranger Camping, located next to Geiranger village.
The kayak centre is open May-mid September, seven days a week, 9am-11pm.
